RFAH01_0.jpg - 84,805Bytes

The scene is his Axe-kick (Heel-drop) at the retirement match (vs Mirko Cro Cop) in Switzerland June 2000.
I began to make this work as mourning figure immediately after Andy Hug passed away in August 2000. It was first time to maiking (complete) real human figure for me.
First feek, I worked for collecting his photos and tidying them. Scanning or V-Captureing his images and printing them exceeded 100 times, but I got insufficient data even them. In September, I stareted making the Andy figure using all free times. I completed it for a couple of months and a few week.
My modeling style have few arrangement. I aim at almost "Dead Copy", but I had data insufficiently. So I couldn't describe detailed muscle's undulation. I think I made few mistake about body form. I arranged face angle down a little and right knee facing outside moved inside a little. The volume of the forelock might be somewhat much. I painted the skin without shadow dark painting. But uni color seemd like a toy, I painted deeper color almost random part.
Used material is plastics (poly stilen) as usual. I formed it using heat of Heat-Pen. I had hard times for 1st-Mesh processing on the trunk, 2nd-Emboss forming of blood vessels on arms, 3rd-Fire flames patchwork on the side of trunk, 4th-Paint of advertisements on trunk, 5th-Paint of letters on gloves, 6th-Painting of moustache marks, etc... The really seems hair specially processed had few trouble except lost of branch hair after finish.
Regretfully this work wasn't producted. But I hope many Andy fun see this work especially native Switzerland fun. If I have opportunity, I'll carry up to some magazines. For abroad publishing companies, I'll mail the big JPEG data of some photographs. Mail me easily. Thank you.
